(HER) Enigma 1.1 – The initial inquiry regarding his new life, Neo demands in the generally expository stance – what is life? The viewer knows not what the Construct is, what the purpose of the Matrix has to do with the continuation of the film’s narrative structure, nor do they even know the expository foundations of physical/cyberspacial boundaries conducting existence within the Construct’s computer program. The Construct is the enigma, and the identity of the real has come into question. Though all might seem normalized within the white walls of this computer program,
the line between what is and what is not real has all but disappeared.
